Vodafone Won't Fix My Mobile

Did I just read this right? Your phone has been damaged (somehow) and you will leave Vodafone when they haven't done anything wrong. Your last post about the situation is a little strange because you seem to be blaming Vodafone because you damaged your phone and expect them to fix it.
One thing though have you tried wiping the phone yourself or even flashing a clean rom onto it just to see if it will work? It maybe a software issue and your warranties already toast.0 -

It is difficult to say what the photograph is but I think it is the little screw at the bottom right of HTC Wildfire S.0

Apologies Forwandert if I have confused you, my fault. Here's the appropiate section of my opening thread, it describes the fault and as far as I know it was not caused by me:The problem was that, occasionally – but becoming more frequent – when I made a call and the call ended my phone did not seem to turn off properly. Everything that you’d expect to happen happened the screen went blank but if I went to make a second call then I found I could not turn the phone back on! The only way I could reconnect was to remove the battery. As I said this wasn’t happening all the time, but it shouldn’t have been happening at all, and it was becoming more frequent.0

OP, the issue with your Wildfire S sounds similiar to one I had. When you say you have to take the battery out to use it, do you mean the screen has went blank (timed out) and when you press the button on the top right if the Wildfire it doesn't respond?
For a couple of weeks I kept my screen on all the time, not great as this just drains battery, but I could use it. I then found I had "water damaged" my phone. Well one of the sensors had went red, the other is still white.
Anyway, after lots of searching I flashed my phone, not ICS or anything, but an HTC one 2.2.1 I think of the top of my head, and it was fine, the button responds as you would expect and I can use my phone again.
As I said your issue sounded very similar. I didn't get my phone checked by anyone so your issue might well be different more serious.0 -
Hi kah22,
Apologies for my delay in responding.
I have had some problems getting the information we need to resolve this as the store have limited information.
I have therefore contacted the repair centre and am awaiting a response.
As promised, as soon as I have the information we need I will get back in touch.
Please don't think I have forgotten about you. If you need to contact me in the interim, reply to our email chain and I will call you.
Many thanks,
Heidi

Your problems are not my concern. But my problems should be your concern. How long are you going to leave me waiting - two days, two weeks, two months?
Why not send the handset to HTC for their diagnosis/repair? Or get a market guy to flash it?
You might have the same fault as Del Astra.0
