Using mobile phone in USA
My husband and I went to the USA earlier this year. We have identical phones, Samsung E2600, both with T Mobile pay as you go. My phone worked, his did not. There was over £20 on each of them. Before we went we checked with the automated 150 number and was told that both phones were set up to work abroad. I have spent ages trying to fnd a reason for his not working while mine did. But I can't find any answer to it. Has anyone got any ideas? We will be going again soon and we would like him to be able to use his phone to send and receive texts while in the USA.

Were you both on the same US network?
I found that roaming on AT&T would cause my SMSes to fail, but T-Mobile would work fine.0 -
I don't know if we were both on the same network. His phone would not connect with any network. He was sitting right next to me when he tried to use his. Mine worked, his didn't. My phone usually connected to (I think) Cingular and worked fine.0
