texting calling India

I am now at the end of contract with 3 and need new handset also. I dont use mobile all that much but keep in touch with family and friends mostly uk. However I do need to be able to text India and wonder what other phone users have found to be the cheapest way. I have been looking at the blackberry service but notice not all providers (virgin) include overseas on bbmessage service. What do users think might be useful for my needs.? I will appreciate any suggestions.Thanks

Are you sure? It's hard to believe that this is really the case.

That said, you can use inclusive minutes to call India mobiles for as little as 5p+0.7p/min.

With O2 International Favourites bolton you can get 3000 minutes to 3 landline numbers and 100 minutes to a mobile number per month for £10.

yes its in the very small print 'not overseas;. having been with them for 23 years for tv etc I never forget to check the small print v very carefully. whtever the sales people promise.....!!!thanks for your response
