JSA is either contributory (C) or income based IB). To qualify for C you need to have worked and paid class 1 contributions over 2 tax years. If you haven't worked it seems unlikely that you would have an entitlement to C.
IB is not usually paid to people who have a partner in work so it's likely that you will not get this either.
If you claim JSA you will have to be available and actively seek work whether or not you get any benefits.
You may get NI credits even if you don't qualify for any benefit.
If you feel that you want to work it will be worth going to your appointment because you could find out about training or volunteering opportunities that may help you find a job that you like. Good luck - I hope you start to feel a lot better soon.

Nobody seems to want to help me, really feel like giving up right now.

You need to leave it for more than an hour to get responses. Most people are not on this site during the hours you were posting.

Go to the appointment - you won't know until you do!

Just for anyone interested, I decided not to go in the end. I wasn't ready, the only reason I#d have been able to get myself to sign on would be for the money. I was coming from a desperate place.

Sorry for getting grumpy about no replies, when I'm in a rational state I know that you don't get instant replies, once again I was just desperate for some kind of help in those moments.

    Thank you for the comments.
  • Please go to your GP dd0910, not all treatments will cost you money, and they will want to help you. :)
  • Please go back to the doc OP - treatment isn't all about prescriptions!
