i dont think benefits should just be handed out, people should do a bit for their money, but at what cost to the working people.
Oh really? would you have us addresing letters or knitting pullovers for the army?
What a bloody stupid remarkThe DWP = Legally kicking the Disabled when they are down.0 -

Do not forget that sanctions for non compliance under the forthcoming Universal Credit of around £7 a day is already on the statute books. So this whole idea sounds very likely to me.0 -

After all if there is a threat of a flood you are better putting sandbags at your door than waiting till it is actually raining.

Go on then, you go and protest about what "might" happen in the future ... Good luck with that one.
I'm off to protest about those pigs flying overhead. Oh wait no, that hasn't actually happened, has it?0 -

Yeah I did actually.
They still wont get in next time. It will be back to Labour no doubt about it.0 -
I do not get why they always pick on the vulnerable, they need to toughen up on those that are on JSA for years / all their lives!Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

Just somehow someone who didn't get enough O levels managed to crash the entire world's financial system.MissMoneypenny wrote: »Plus the lax banking controls on lending, from Labour: who are voted in by these same type of people.
I didn't know that party governed the whole world...
That Gordon Brown really did have a white cat being stroked on his lap!
In summary, your lack of knowledge typifies you as someone who didn't study hard enough at school and thus it is YOU who is responsible for the entire mess the country/world is in now.
You are George Osbourne and I claim my £5.0 -

Or can people with mental health problems, learning difficulties or hours a week on dialysis fight? Or how about people who are teminally ill- should they spend their last years fighting the system and not their illness? Do we have no compassion in this country anymore? Why is everyone else not fighting for those who are weakest?
Again, so defeatist and so condescending.
When people are disadvantaged, either physically or mentally, the last thing they need is so called well wishers robbing them of their humanity in this way!0 -

I am currently reading "Schindler's Ark" (the book on which the movie Schindler's List was based) and the people in the getto could not believe the rumours of the gas chambers - after all it was only a rumour and all logic told them that their labour was essential to the German economy and they had their blue stickers on their identity cards proving them as essential workers. So they did not think it necessary to fight after all it is probably not going to happen. But history tells a different story.
In any case when did you hear a report in the Guardian about Flying Pigs. Don't think so.0 -

God help us all, because when they have finished with those who can't fight back they will come for the rest of us.
I couldn't agree more. The gap between rich and poor widens even further while the sick and disabled are demonised in the press. We are being scapegoated for the mess caused by overprivileged bankers and the whole rotten edifice of international finance. The next step (just before rounding us up to herd into 'camps' or 21st century workhouses) is to abolish benefits in favour of food stamps. Think it can't happen? Think again.0 -
