  • I really wouldn't have a clue as I didn't think they would even increase it to 3k TBH as only been with them 3 months.
Like I say the branch manager even said that lloyds are ready to lend and how much I haven't a clue, they also suggested if I am looking to buy a car.

by lend you mean offering you a loan?
  • I went from £100 OD limit to £5000 limit with Halifax in the space of one day

Yep they were happy to offer me a loan which I refused,I suppose they've looked at it like a customer has upped his OD by 2.9k there must be something he's planning to do with the money so we will phone him to see if he's interested in a loan rather then borrowing on an OD.

I upped mine to £4k from £500 a few years back with an instant decision, then they asked me if I need any more lending.

It was to pay for the insurance, taxi test and taxi plate on the car as I'd not really worked the month before, which would make it pre-2007, when I was working full-time in that trade. I used about £3k of it, as I didn't want to fully utilise, and made sure I did £1500 a week for the next month.

Do you actually need an overdraft? Just apply for one and be done with it..

Just remember overdrafts are repayable on demand.

    what do you mean?

i though they aint like loans, you DONT have to make monthly payments...

    how do they work?

if the limit is £3000, and i get -£1500 OD,
then what is the 'repayment on demand' structure??
