A Qatar Airways official representative had already answered you over on FlyerTalk before you posted here.

For those recommending not calling, the OP did call Qatar in Manchester and was again told that it was not an issue.

It's nice to have such a simple back up plan - If you are refused check-in, then your company simply buys you a new ticket. In all honesty, if i had that luxury, i dont think i would even bother if my name was not right on the ticket. Unfortunately, i doubt (like many of us) the OP has this plan to fall back on.
