It's 14 days you have to tell them and cancel, not 14 days notice. They are likely to charge you pro-rata for the days you used it.
And this is for online or over a phone purchases. Am not sure about in store purchases.0 -

I remember cancelling a sim-only contract over a phone, but I had to be very determined and it was a sim that I have not used for any chargeable calls.
Don't remember if it was within 7 or 14 days, but their returns policy is not very clear about sim-only. DSR say 7 days and apply only to unused goods / services, that isn't the case.
Make sure you receive the final bill as a confirmation of cancellation.0 -
