I love Mustangs or at least most Mustangs but that one is just plain ugly/boring, If everyone else thinks like me then that may be why you dont see that model over here or indeed on the streets in the USA.

Thats not a dig just an observation of why it might not be worth very much

no i agree its not the prettiest of things, but seen worse (94 mustang looks a blown up square version of mk1 escort rs turbo an not a pretty car), looked on youtube it seems to be the poormans musty, i.e sub $6000 and people are restoring them out there.

there is a limited market, well say limited, a minute market, but its unique to say the least for this country. someone may want it may not, if its sold whole it sold whole if not itle be broken up wich will be a shame.

at what price though a reserve of what when you cant find one to accurately put a price on it that one problem he has.

Work out what it owes (say £800 once MOTd from what you've said) and there's your reserve (unless he's feeling generous). List as auction, no reserve, with that as starting price making it clear in the listing that you're covering costs at that.

Alternatively, if weighing in is the other option, work out it's price on the bridge and start at that with what it's cost as a BIN. He won't "lose" any more doing that than you will weighing in anyway. But please don't use the "if no-one buys it'll be scrapped" line - no-one I know in the classics world appreciates blackmail ;)

Then sit back and let the market decide what it's actually worth because any car is only worth what the punters will pay for it.

I'd find a barn and stick it in there for another 33 years.
