iPlayer / Lovefilm Player and dedicated graphics

I have just bought a 4GB i3-2350M laptop with NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M 1GB. When playing iPlayer and Lovefilm Player, it seems to me that these don't make any use of the GPU at all. (the little app says 'GPU use: none' when videos play in a small window, and I can't see this obviously when full screen but I assume this still doesn't use the GPU. Is that just a limitation of the software used? Ideally I'd like video to be as smooth as possible, whether downloaded or streamed.

I don't know about lovefilm but that's just how bbc have made iplayer. If they wanted to they could make it use both. However, your i3 is more than capable of smooth playback. You shouldn't be seeing any choppiness.0
