Citreon dealer's are saying to me that my car is unsafe to drive, and for the work they want to charge me for is a fault that the car has and after taking nearly £700 just two months ago for an MOT and a full service they want another £5OO to replace all 4 components when only one is affected..What i want to know is can i take my car to another garage to fix the problem my ignition has a problem and shakes when you start up.
I have been to many dealers but this dealer seems to be bleeding me dry.

You can take it anywhere you like to get fixed.
If it's unsafe to drive, then get it transported!0 -
What is the problem?0

The dealers have no legal power to stop you removing your vehicle from their property. They cannot condemn it, reject its MOT or tell you it can't go on the road etc. Yes you can take it elsewhere. If however you seriously believe there may be a serious fault, get it transported. If the police catch you on the road with a dangerous vehicle you'll get busted.0

the washer jets has a seal that broke and it leaked windscreen wash onto the fuel injector getting water inside it which has corroded the electronics of the injector causing it to fail0

I heard because it is a common fault that i may be able to get this done free of charge anyone heard of it before??0

That is not a dangerous fault.
It's a fault that can cause a breakdown, nothing more.0 -
More than likely one of the technicians has broken something costly and they're trying to get you to pay for the repair without telling you what's really happened.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

The thing is i went into the dealer two months ago and had a service 2 done on it with my MOT and you would of thought this would of come up on it ....the smug guy at the front desk, trying to give me discounts on a bill with it nearly 700 quid.. well i will be going in there and taking my car elsewhere just on principle, called another garage up and they are going tell me how much its going to cost me to have it done seems like i have to have all 4 injectors done.0

why would it have come up at a service? and even if it had, it would just have cost you £1200 in one go? - not sure what the issue is here - they've found a fault on your car and if its not under a warranty then you either pay for it or go without a car.
the whole "serviced and MOT'd a short while ago" means nothing - it might not have had the leak then.0 -
I had the same problem when I had a Citreon and this is how I solved it. Called the dealer to discuss a problem and arrange to get the car collected by the garage. Was told that car was too dangerous to drive and I should arrange for a low-loaded to collect car and deliver to dealer. Car was being used as a commuter car and needed to be safe and reliable. Clearly I made a mistake when I purchased it. Drove car home visited car dealer and purchased a safe and reliable Saab.:D0
