Help! Vodafone Vs T-tmobile deal!!

Hiya, On Friday (31st August 2012) I got a contract with Vodafone offering 300 mins unlimited texts, 500mb internet and 1GB BTFreeZone for £20.50 on a Samsung Galaxy S2.

Out of curiosity and knowing I had a 7 day cooling off period I contacted other networks one of which was t-mobile. They offered me for £21 a month 300 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet and 250mb download (its part of their new internet plans). They explained to me that the unlimited internet was purely for browsing facebook, twitter ect.. and the 250mb was for downloading and streaming so for youtube, downloading music and apps... However I have to put a £60 deposit first.

I'm finding it difficult to choose which one is the best, as it is an Android phone I will be using the internet quite frequently mainly browsing facebook and visiting websites. Im also planning to download a few apps.

If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.. Im on quite a short time schedule to return the phone as I recieved it today.

Thank you very much

Interesting to see how they decide which is which!

I take it you have tested personally that you can get reception from both networks? No point in having loadsa minutes and internet if you can't get reception.

Take into account that most of your streaming will probably be via wifi for the speed, assuming that you have wifi, and that is "free".

What I will say, however, is that you should have done your research first and not be wasting Vodafone's time and returning a "used" handset to them. It's not a jumper from M&S and the sim will have been allocated to you and the phone is now, technically, a refurbished handset.

I have absolutely no sympathy for time-wasters who add to overall costs by their dithering. If the handset is faulty, or has some use problems, then by all means use the 7 day or longer return facility, but because you were too lazy to check out all the deals first, then that's not top priority for me. Nn doubt, "out of curiosity" once you have the T-Mobile handset, you may see if Orange or 3 have an even better deal, and you will have 14 days to waste T-Mobile's time.
  • I will gladly admit I should of done more research however the deal Vodafone was ending on the day I got it therefore did not want to miss out on it. I had done research on other networks prior however was unaware networks give you different deals when you phone them up.
