Mentioned earlier in the thread about spuds. I redeemed some at the weekend and earlier in the week and had no problems. A while back I redeemed using my mums mobile no and never got the verification texts. I tried for a couple of days then gave up. Texts eventually came through about 5 days later altogether so may just be a glitch.. this was with O2.HTHDef some sort of glitch with Spud Shillings....waiting for one £10 voucher for hubby claimed on 22nd August....2 weeks before that I claimed 1 for me, never arrived, emailed them , they said they would look into it....nothing came.....emailed again and they replied that they had re-requested it.....it came 2 days later....then 2 more came( £30 in total )...I telephoned them and offered to return them , was told to keep them as a thank you for my honesty.....
Hopefully it is a glitch as I still can't get my verification code back even though I have tried several times.
Well done bully on your honesty!0 -
does anyone have a nice simple no fuss flapjacks recipe i could steal ? going to play at the weekend with some porridge oats and make flapjacks with the kids, i know i could google but there are lots of diff recipes about and i know some of you are avid bakers and would rather try a good recipe that i know isnt going to turn out dry and nasty (as some have done in the past oops)
thanks
CM
ps would be happy to swap for mars bar crunch recipe if anyone got too many rice crispies lol (warning tho its very moreish)
Flapjacks
Ingredients
150g butter, plus extra for greasing
50g golden caster sugar
4 tbsp golden syrup
275g rolled oats
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan170°C/gas 5. Grease and line a shallow 20cm-square tin with baking paper.
2. Put the butter, sugar and syrup into a small pan over a low heat and stir until the butter has melted. Stir in the oats. Press the mixture into the tin and bake for 20 minutes, or until just golden at the edges.
3. Remove from the oven and cool for 10 minutes. Cut into bars in the tin. Cool completely before turning out and cutting again with a sharp knife.
This is a good failsafe recipe. They turn out lovely every time and I have made them a lot

ordinary porridge oats are fine. Rolled just means they are flattened:)You can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you. ~John Wooden 154/06/2700
