We were both recommmended Braun Oral B Toothbrushes by our Hygienist. They actually sell them at the dentist! What I have since discovered is that Braun (& other manufacturers) have jumped on the Japanese Car wagon. Do you rmember when they first imported the cars they were really cheap, but when it came to spares you had to pay exorbitant prices. That is what's happening with electric toothbrushes, once you have one you are then a captive customer for those particular replacement brushes and what ridiculous prices they charge!! Does anyone know a good cheap source for replacements that are not fakes ?"0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

If your pocket can stretch to it I whole heartedly reccommend the Braun PC 9500 DLX Triumph, it's like visiting the higenest every time you brush. They retail for around £150 but you can get it here for £72.50

I got mine from here so again can reccommend the site also. Also got 12 brush heads from ebay for £9.99 If you want the id of the seller I can provide that.

The cheapest are £12.49 (half price) and they have diffrent models with diffrent heads - a dual head, a convential head and a round head - this confused me, but I was tempted with the dual one which was a combination of the other two. They also had a 7000 range one at 1/3 off - i think this was £25 or £29. I didn't realise there were so many options.
I'm currently midway though £120's worth of Hygenists appointment on the so called NHS and the hygenist recommended an electric brush. Does anyone have any ideas which one to go for and whether these are genuine offers?0 -

Also did you mention it in their feedback ?
I think being sold counterfeit goods deserves a little more than negative feedback.0 -

I've bought the brush heads off the high street for ages but the last time I decided I'd had enough of shelling out their ludicrous prices so got some off ebay (between £9 and £10 for 12). For all intents and purposes they're the real thing, packaging seems genuine enough (though perhaps from Germany) and identical brush heads to the ones I've used before - I've got no reason at all to suspect they're counterfeit and I'm really happy with them for 1/3 of the high street price.
I'd just wait and see what they're like and leave negative feedback etc if they look dodgy.0 -
