They usually go up as the date gets nearer
That date will be one of the most popular flights they have to Gran Canaria

I agree - flight prices for the new year period are unlikely to fall.
  • I think the flight prices will come down,i have flown to lanzarote and fuerteventura just before the new year within the last 4 years, one with thomsons and one with ryanair, and the flights were under £200 per person,i know there is less flights on offer now,but hey lets hope they do come down for us.

I personally don't see why they would reduce the prices (regardless of what you've gotten in the past) - I'd imagine the flights are reasonably full already and will only get moreso as time goes on. There is no need for them to drop the price.

It's £170 at the moment. If you are large group (4+) book everyone onto smaller transactions. Say if you were a group of 8 and there are only 3 seats left at one price (£170), 3 at a higher price(£215) and 2(£240) at an even higher price then the system will automatically charge you £240 each if you search for flights for 8 people. Also book your return flight separately so you can pay in euros as Ryanair charges the same in Euros as pounds.

There are still plenty of tickets from Prestwick to Gran Canaria for £100 for less this month and in October, so its likely they will reduce the prices of selected flights to fill the plane.

But that has absolutely no relation to the number of seats they have left between Christmas and New Year. It would be a gamble to wait as they are just as likely to go up as they are to come down (if not moreso).
  • Don't know if it's of any interest to you but I priced flights with Ryanair to Gran Canaria last year over New Year period and was quoted circa £1200 for two returns.

Needless to say we spent New Year at home.

I can't remember exactly when I got these quotes but I don't see prices going down between now and New Year. I'd grab these prices without delay, if I were you.
