Those of you who have had pups, what have they been like at first when they came home ?

Ours had a bit of a whimper now and again for the first couple of nights, but it was probably more tortuous for me than for her - I slept on the settee next to her :o and she really just needed a touch to reassure her that she wasn't alone (and I didn't want her to get used to sleeping upstairs!) Yes, I know, I'm a wuss and couldn't bear the whimpering!:o

Zara also sleeps on the hard floor, they do when they are hot :)

Yep - the coldest, hardest floor, right behind the back door (they do make a fab draught excluder!) - usually with her nose tucked into my slipper (!?), or on the floor of the downstairs loo, or when she was a bit bigger, on the settee. Funnily enough, I never actually caught her on the settee - she'd make out like she'd been on her bed all night, but you could tell from the warmth, hair and drool (!) exactly where she'd been!:)

Well day 1 has been great but exhausting... we are at 0 on the toilet training... we have tried to take him out after eating but two poops on the floor (laminate thankfully) and 0 outside....

Tomorrow I have to work but bf will be at home. I will be home on my lunch hour.

How did you all do the toilet training ? I hope that part gets easier. The rest is the good stuff <3
