Not so silly, chose someone with a soft enough heart to try to reunite him with his previous owner AND ensure he has a lovely forever home.

Thank you. Thank you very much :o
  • Well that is the kitty safely away with his new Mummy:D

He travels really well...in fact he slept most of the waty - I suspect he hasn't really been getting a proper sleep recently since he has been 'roughing it'!!

Am gonna miss the wee fella especially in the morning as he was always glad to see me as he knew that meant breakfast!

But am glad he is with someone I know so I can get regular updates.

He has taught me alot in his short time as I used to be quite scared of cats before (as well as the frikkin allergy) due to a nasty bite years ago, but he is so gentle and kind I have my confidence back with cats:)

Naturally I shall be in bed about 8pm tonight since I haven't really slept since Friday as I knew he was out there....I'm bloody knackered!!

I bet he is rubbing his little paws together and thinking "I love it when a plan comes together". :D

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    He probably is!!!

Maybe he did know what he was doing after all when he rocked up at my house last week!!

His new Mummy had went into M&S (M&S!!) and bought him a cooked chicken breast for when her gets home (meanwhile I have just had a can of soup as I am too tired to make anything....bloody cat is dining better than me tonight!!)

She was really delighted with him....we both had tears in our eyes:o

I'm just glad I can get all my windows open tomorrow - my house has been baking!!!

  • You're a star sparklebabey!:)
  • So I will give a final update about kitty as I don't want to bore people (and am aware I am getting a little gushy about him!!)

He scoffed the chicken breast in the car on the way home last night, ate 2 Whiskas sachets, had a massive drink of water and then curled up on my friend's daughters bed...and that is where he stayed all night!! I should point out that he had had a full tin of Whiskas here and half a tin of tuna throughout the day:rotfl:

I truly believe that he literally hasn't slept properly for days..defo since I had had him and god knows how long he was a stray till he found me.

He is very happy wandering about the house and uses a cat litter tray with no problem. They are going to take him to the vet just for an MOT and also to get his jabs.

It was funny about the drinking as I mentioned to my daughter that the water we put out for him never seemed to go down but when I bought him a bottle of that Whiskas milk and gave him a wee drop he did drink that....maybe he was choosy! Or maybe he just didn't like my yellow bowl I put out for him!

As for me, due to health issues I am a very poor sleeper however last night I slept from 1.15am to 5.45am which is a record!!

It's a cold and rainy night here tonight so am so glad he is all cosy.:smileyhea

Will try and get a pic up but to be honest they weren't that great as they were all taken through a window!:o

Thank you for all your kind words...as a complete novice to 'kitty looking after', you were all lovely and supportive.

p.s his provisional new name is Heathcliff (could be subject to change though!!)
