Yeah I know! I loved mine but having looked at that one I decided I want one of those now! But I don't drink pop, and by the time I'd driven repeatedly round Cov to collect them from other people I think I would have missed the point!

Hi, Get the local school to ask the kids to collect them:rolleyes: tell them you need twice the amount, and give them the plans to make one for the school:D
If you think this has helped make my day and hit the thanks button:beer:

This one has been posted before. I think it was a fun thing to do, but as a practical solution to anything, it is a total non-starter.

No I don't. I said the bottle greenhouse was fun, but that's all it is.

I've actually spent the last quarter hour looking for a practical plan for a greenhouse, but most of what I find is simply too hard or too expensive. I've made a tall greenhouse sized frame using wood and polytunnel plastic, but that relies on a fence as a backing, so that wouldn't be much use on an allotment.

OP might get some ideas from here, which was the best I could come up with:

Meanwhile, I may not be a huggy, but I try to be helpful.

Also ask the 'old hands' at the allotment - the commitee members. Ours are dab hands at getting hold of this kind of thing ;)

Thank you. I liked the solar storage house, which is something I have been thinking about doing when I get my next garden.

Huggies are simply those who tend to make a positive comments regardless of how daft the post(er) they are responding to is. (and sorry, I edited my post because I didn't mean to say you were one.) Probably best spotted on the Debt Free Wannabe Board, where everyone gets lots of support & hugs. Personally, I think many of them need a good kick up the bottom, which is why I never go there!
  • I think I've mentioned before that 2 of mine came from folk who had young kids and were getting safety-conscious. If you fancy a bit of bodging, try your local double-glazing installer for failed units.
  • Can I reccommend the gumtree? I know its got a bad rep for spamming but there's usually quite a few green fingered related items on there, normally for free.
