Budgeted £60 for the evening out incl costumes etc - turns oit I didnt spend rearly as much but I did get food and top up my travelcard so with outfit charity donation etc spent £55
    sun was £35

    Currently spent £165/£950.....

What was really great about last night is I met someone that could be special if I dont mess it up.... good times indeed.

Need to ensure I have minimum spend in the week this upcoming week and on the weekend

  • Bit of a mare week to the bank balance. Turns out I left my work shoes at home and was in the office and needed a new pair. That cost me £65 - nice shoes at least. Booked a skiing lesson before hitting the slopes was £160 and drinks with mates was £22. Transpot was £20 Lunches cost me £10 so I have now spent £405/£950 - looking okay I guess with travel insurance to be added.

Got quite a few work events still to come so should be another cheap week when you take the shoes and lesson out of the equation. just hope that i dont need public transport which i fear i will with the weather predictions....

  • Well done Jam!

The rate at which you are paying down your debts, you should be debt free in no time. I really admire the fact that you are able to live a life whilst paying down your debts etc! I would love to be able to undertake half of the travel you do!

I am also impressed how you can live in London for c£550pm (housing costs) and yet only pay £135 on your travelcard! If you don't mind me asking, what part of London do you live and work in?

  • I cant believe that its the last day of 2012 already.... I am relaxing at home, trying to recover from a fantastic holiday and work out how I will handle another night on the town... At least it will be my last for a while as I try fight off the weight and then deal with the depressing state of financial affairs!!!

Of course its my fault and of course I got myself in the position I am in but like many people out there I dont really like the consequences of my actions....

My debt has gone up a little but I havent made the payments yet so I hope it wont be too much....

I have got an extra card from Tesco's sadly they didnt give me enough to shift the whole halifax amount but it will take half of it onto an interest free amount. I still have to book a flight to my cousins wedding for February and very keen to do a half iron man which is £200

January will be a tough month but I am in a much better place than I was 4 months ago and the 3k reduction shows that.

I hopoe everyone enjoys their new years eve parties and good luck for 2013....

£3k reduction in 4 months is fantastic, especially after Christmas and a holiday. Can't watch to see those numbers on your signature drop in the new year.

So with the year closing down I have thought about some new years resolutions:
    1. Drop below 90kg's - I am overweight, unfit and unhealthy. Of course this is all relative as I managed to swim 2km last time I went for a swim and cycle into work which probably means I am not as bad as I think. The goal is to drop below 90kg's (or 20% bodyfat) as soon as possible.

    2. Be able to do 10 pushups. Whilst the above may show I am not that unfit, this certainly shows I am way way way below average for strength. I cant do a single proper push up. Never have been able to and its something I want to sort out. I am not that weak, I can pick up heavy loads and hit a golf ball 300 yards I just cant do push ups.... 10 proper push ups in a row is my challenge

    3. Complete a half iron man. I have to find one to enter, if not complete the London tri in under 2.45 hours. I have done 3.00 on the dot before so 15 minutes off my last time is the aim.

    4. Start studying something. Cima is my first thought but maybe something more work related will be the answer.

    5. Stop procrastinating: Very tricky one since I am still in bed at 3pm on my day off, the bag from the trip is still not unpacked and a load of washing has completed an hour ago and I still havent hung it up.
In all seriousness there are 168 hours in the week (with 120 during the week) and I spend them during the week on:
    60 Hours working
    10 Hours commuting
    30-35 hours sleeping (6-7 hours a night)
    105/120 already used.
    I would like to:
    Study - 5 hours
    Cook decent food 2 hours
Do my laundry and clean the house 2 hours
    Exercise - 5 hours....

Any procrastination to the above will eat into my sleep and weekend free time. So messing around on facebook or any other sites eats into my sleeping time more than anything else....

    6. Pay down all my debt apart from the loan..... Lets see how that goes

What are your new years resolutions?
