Thanks @Hugandroll.
Thursday was a completely NSD - was a great feeling and a corporate event. Friday was a BSD - big spend day: Finished my packed lunch so I spent £5 on lunch (A massive awesome salad) took my sister out to dinner (she flies off to new york for 6 weeks on sunday) and we had some drinks after. £55
Today is a night in with some mates playing in a round robin championship - I havent played tv games since I was 12 - going to be interesting 20 years on. Hopefully wont be too expensive and then Sunday no plans and I hope to relax and finish off some workOutstanding: Barc 6910 halifax £4034 [STRIKE]Hsbc 1 306[/STRIKE] LBM 29 316 (01/09/12) now 10 944 (30/03/15)0 -
£92 pounds spent in the week with the majority on a dinner out for my sister and I... This leaves me with £208 for the rest of the month - I know I will go over as catching up with my best mate in Spain from wed-sat. Monday will cost at least £8 in transport and Tuesday I want to cycle in but have to take a client out for drinks so that could thwart my cycling plans...Outstanding: Barc 6910 halifax £4034 [STRIKE]Hsbc 1 306[/STRIKE] LBM 29 316 (01/09/12) now 10 944 (30/03/15)0

When you catch up with your friend, why not suggest eating and drinking in. Bet the friend would be just as grateful they don't have to spend as much money and you can still catch up just the same.K&Co (0%) [STRIKE]£58.40[/STRIKE] £0; Nat West O/D (18%) [STRIKE] £950 [/STRIKE] £937.26 Barclaycard (21.9%) [STRIKE]£1,039.01[/STRIKE] £799.06; Barclayloan [STRIKE]£4,756[/STRIKE] £4,637; mum (0%) [STRIKE]£35,000[/STRIKE] £35,000 0% Total Debt [STRIKE]£41,803.41[/STRIKE] £41,373.32 :eek:0

Hey!
I'm turning 32 this year too!!
Well done for taking the first steps... I also work in london and I know how tough it can be.... I've allowed myself £10 a day budget and at the end of the night when I haven't spent that days £10 it goes into a pot - try it!... I either save it up for a dinner or night out or i'm going to start saving it up and paying off my smallest card!
The other thing I've clocked on to is that the bars are doing anything at the moment to get people through the door - there's a company doing a loyalty card at the moment that give you a bottle of prosecco just for signing up and so many are doing deals whether it be 2-4-1 on lunch or BOGOF on cocktails - I still have my nights out but i'm just playing it a bit smarter - its very hard to work in the city and ignore the social side...it sadly tends to effect your situation in the office as your seen as not a team player!CC1...[STRIKE]£5,491.00[/STRIKE]£5,223.98....Loan 1..[STRIKE]£3,891.00[/STRIKE]£3670.84...CC2...£[STRIKE]415.00[/STRIKE] £395Mgment Co: [STRIKE]£1,398.00[/STRIKE]£1082.00[STRIKE]£11,195.00[/STRIKE] £10,371.79DEC NSD:2/15.....£2 Saver = £0....Swagbucks 796/1999S.A.D - and proud of it!!.... @hugandroll - they are staying in a fancy hotel - I am slumming it (by choice) in a hostel - will definitely watch what I spend there.
Managed to spend £40 on shopping today which will cover my lunch and supper until Spain.
I get paid on the 26th so I am hoping to use a lot of my income to pay down debts and see how little I can spend in November!Outstanding: Barc 6910 halifax £4034 [STRIKE]Hsbc 1 306[/STRIKE] LBM 29 316 (01/09/12) now 10 944 (30/03/15)0 -
The Spain trip was by all accounts fantastic and one of my best holidays ever (Every holiday feels like that) Was great to see my best mate again. Of course the holiday cost way too much but I am here to enjoy life as well as start growing up.Outstanding: Barc 6910 halifax £4034 [STRIKE]Hsbc 1 306[/STRIKE] LBM 29 316 (01/09/12) now 10 944 (30/03/15)0

Payday is on Friday and I have £37.10 for the rest of the week. I think that should be a relatively easy amount to use until Friday. I am looking to spend £700 (excl rent and monthly utility bills) before my next holiday on the 23rdDecember.
Things that will eat into my cash:
* The pub/going out
* London transport (£35 p/w on a ticket (£5 a day) or £6-8 on pay as you go for 5 days a week)
* Buying lunch and breakfast at work (typically £5 for lunch £3 for breakfast)
There are obviously others but the above are what I am most worried about.
Hoping that I can sell some stuff during the next few months to boos tthe income.Outstanding: Barc 6910 halifax £4034 [STRIKE]Hsbc 1 306[/STRIKE] LBM 29 316 (01/09/12) now 10 944 (30/03/15)0 -
Thought I would say hello!
Well done so far, you seem to have made real progress since your first post! I think if you keep plugging away, you will be debt free in no time.

Can you take a packed lunch with you and a box of cereal for the week to save money?K&Co (0%) [STRIKE]£58.40[/STRIKE] £0; Nat West O/D (18%) [STRIKE] £950 [/STRIKE] £937.26 Barclaycard (21.9%) [STRIKE]£1,039.01[/STRIKE] £799.06; Barclayloan [STRIKE]£4,756[/STRIKE] £4,637; mum (0%) [STRIKE]£35,000[/STRIKE] £35,000 0% Total Debt [STRIKE]£41,803.41[/STRIKE] £41,373.32 :eek:0
