Hi guys, I currently have an iPhone 4s on contract. But I want to sell the phone and just get a basic phone. But I want to keep my number.

1. what phones will fit my iPhone sim card?

2. Where is best to sell it?

I'll await a more detailed and informed response from another forumite but my understanding is that in theory you can use your iPhone 4s sim in another phone. The sim in an iPhone 4s is a microsim so it will only fit in another phone if that phone also takes microsim OR if you use a microsim to normal sim adapter.

Aside from the physical obstacles there are network obstacles. If the receiving phone is locked to a network then it is unlikely to accept a sim from another network, regardless of size. The receiving phone will therefore need to be of the same network or be unlocked.

All phones will take your current (micro) SIM, either natively or with a 10p adaptor.

As for selling it, eBay will get the biggest audience, but fees have to be taken into account. Gumtree is a good free option.
