Is is a sudden new one-off problem? If so, try restarting the phone or for a faster solution, turn aircraft mode on for 30 seconds and then back off again. This happens to me now and again.0

I've registered with various of the "free" WiFi providers (cloud etc.).
When I'm within range of these networks sometimes my phone latches onto a WiFi network. The network wants some sort of log in but the app I'm using can't do that so the phone complains about not having a connection when it has a perfectly good 3G connection.
I can see why it works this way and it's probably best but it could be related to your problem.
Two things to try.
1) Turn WiFi off on the handset at home - does a network connection work on 3G ?
2) See if you have lots of BT Fon and similar networks remembered in the WiFi settings. Try deleting things you don't need.0 -
You can also try going into Settings>> General >> Reset >> Reset network settings. it will remove any saved wifi keys but may solve the issue.0
