Calling Jay , help with dual sim adaptor
Got the dual sim adaptor this morning specific to Nokia 3100. I am afraid it will not fit as I have to insert the sims into a plastic holder and it will not actually fit into the existing sim phone sim holder, the pslstic sims holder seem to be to bit. I do not know how this can work, this one seems to have adouble sim plastic holder and one dummy that goes over the battery.Pl can you check this out for me. Thanks

Jay, this is the description on ebay, you can have a look at the pic.
NOKIA 6100, 3100 MOBILE PHONE DUAL TWIN SIM CARD HOLDER Item number: 5832796177
It is exactly as it is and no way this double plastic holder can fit in the existing single sim holder. Thanks0 -
Just had a look at the picture, looking at it it looks like the single brown part slides into the sim card slot on your phone with no sim attacted to it. Your 2 sim cards that you will use will go into the double sim plastic holder, which will sit on top of your battery.0

No, it will not, I have e-mailed the seller, may be ia m doing it wrong. Thanks0

I will have to stop messing about with it as I am going to damage it. Anybody else using this got an idea? Thanks0

Which way should the double sim holder facing ? Should the brown contacts facing up as that's the only way it could go and unfortunately cannot close the cover. I mean network sim card sitting next to battery which means the brown contact will face up when I put the cover up. Am I right? Thanks0 -
I can't see how that one could fit, for two or three reasons.
Looking at the picture, the top edge of the twin holder is higher than the top edge of the dummy SIM part, but when it's inserted the SIM part goes right down next to the bottom edge of the battery, meaning that about 3 millimetres of the twin holder is lower than the battery edge. This might not be a problem though, but ...
The side-exit ribbon cable would get kinked sharply at the edge of the rebated holder, then the cable isn't long enough to come the long way round to the back of the battery, but too bulky to go under it.
I think you should contact the seller and ask if you could exchange it for one for a Nokia 3510, as this holder is very similar in the phone, with the metal slightly springy piece around the edges, and end insertion, so the cable should leave the dummy near that top end. I'm a bit confused by the photo of that one though, unless the two SIMs are back to back in the twin holder, in which case I'm worried that it will be too fat to close the back of the phone0 -

O.k the six silver connecters (that are on the picture on ebay) on the single piece must touch the connecters of the phone (where you usually put the simcard) then the battery goes on top and you fold the other part over the battery so the place where the other part of the dual sim sit on top of the battery, then when you put the 2 sim cards in the cover goes back on the phone.0 -
Installation:
* Take two SIM cards instead of two paper in the king of double card's two holders
* Insert the king of double card connector to the mobile phone card holder
* Install battery and mobile back cover, then you may use A card or B card.
* (Nokia can change A and B card through #3370#. The other mobile can change through power-on/off)
This is the instruction I got from the manufacturer of the dual card holder. It seems that the two sim holder should fit into the existing phone sim holder. Can I ask for a refund since it is not working? Thanks for you help0 -
