    Seems contradictory.

You really didn't buy what I I've been saying moneysaverlog so I've phoned lending up for you 0800 015 0032 with which they backed up everything I've quoted.

They said the lloyds online banking personal quote is a personal quote based on your own representive APR of what they know about yourself and if your happy to go ahead with the APPLICATION they will then go ahead with a credit search at which your APR could be even better depending on what results are returned.

He also said that every lloyds customer who has hold their lloyds account for 3+ months will get a personal loan quote but it doesn't mean lloyds will give every customer a loan until they've applied and been credit searched.

The above is correct, but in both of my applications I have not had any credit searches like I said before, lucky. ;) or for my credit card or overdraft..
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)
  • No external searches have been registered for me either at LTSB with their credit card or OD increase.

I do get irritated when ppl on these forums post incorrect information. Having successfully completed a loan application three months ago, I can confirm that Lloyds TSB DO NOT conduct external credit searches on existing customers. Although they say they may search your credit file, in fact they do not. They hold all the information they need. Providing it is your main account, in credit, regular income, no DD's failed etc. they will assess you internally.

    Hope this helps.

I also get irritated when the Marty Mcflys of this world go back to 6 month old posts without reading other threads where we came to the conclusion that lloyds do not do external searches for loan applications.

    Hope this helps.

Certainly right there. The poster in question is new to Lloyds and does not fully know the ways of how Lloyds operate at the moment.
