Definitely register a comment with the person who sent the letter that Eating Disorders Referral can be seen through the envelope window. It's definitely a breach of patient confidentiality. I notice these days envelopes tend not to be stamped NHS (or whatever health organisation) anymore, presumably in case of scenarios like this.

But most importantly WELL DONE for seeking help with the problem!

I am sorry and can understand your worries, but surely your family are very worried about you and are anxious to see your health restored.
I have seen this from the other side of the coin with unpleasant results.
Well done to you for getting help, please keep it up and involve your family in your recuperation too.
    Wishing you every success

an eating disorder does NOT make you a nutcase!
you have an illness - and you are seeking help. I too would take it up with the hospital about the addressing on the envelope - I believe that contravenes the Data Protection Act! a very hefty fine involved there!
if anyone asks then you could lie and say 'Jeez - I was going for a smear - cant they get anything right'? or just say - 'you are always on at me about my eating habits - I am seeing someone about it'!

It isnt about anyone else tho hun - its about you! well done for taking action and being aware that something is wrong.
I do wish you the best of luck.
