Best way to keep money??

The information xylophone gave you confirms that it is fraudulent to claim benefits if you have £120K in the bank; it further confirms that you cannot hide the £120K ("Will it be better off put in a third party bank account (e.g. daughter etc)").
I hope they will catch you.0 -

What I do grudge is having my taxes used to pay means tested benefits for people who have a substantial amount of money which they are trying hard to conceal.
My Mother and Brother are not on any benefits at the moment! All she gets is her state pension.
She can't live in a house now as my brother cannot get upstairs.
He has a bed in the living room and even has to use a commode in there too
The council originally suggested a bungalow and she has been on the waiting list 11 years!
This is why she is moving. It's the council that have suggested benefits.
All I want to know is the best and right way about doing it.
Of course she won't get any benefits of she has 120k in the bank. I know that so there is no change for her as she doesn't get any now
Just wanted to know who I speak to, which forms I fill in etc etc
These forums are just crazy. Calling me a parasite telling me I'm commuting fraud lol. What a joke!
I asked what do I do and what's the best legal way to go about it
I suppose everyone on here is squeaky clean lol
I bet even Martin Lewis avoids costs where he can like we all do
MSE = JOKE
Im off to get some proper advice from people who know why there talking about and not off people who have all day to sit on forums commenting on people and there situations and getting it grossly wrong0 -

She gets £190 a week benefit while living in this bungalow and may be entitled to rent rebate, council tax rebate etc (not got that far yet, only just signed for bungalow yesterday).
Not what you said originally. And if they are not on any benefits, why is your brother not claiming disability living allowance and employment and support allowance to which he is probably entitled?0 -
Hello to all reading this.
My mother has just been granted a Council bungalow for herself (age 71) and her disabled son (age 47) wheelchair bound. She owns her own house outright so once we have got them moved in and sorted we will be putting the house on the market.
It may sell for around the 120,000 mark but we were wondering if there is a certain way of investing the money so not to let any greedy government body get hold of any.
We dont want to do anything illegal but that house is what her and now deceased husband earnt through out all their lives and we want her to keep it to do as what she pleases.
She gets £190 a week benefit while living in this bungalow and may be entitled to rent rebate, council tax rebate etc (not got that far yet, only just signed for bungalow yesterday).
Will such a large sum eventually going into her bank account affect any benefits etc etc??
Will it be better off put in a third party bank account (e.g. daughter etc)
We want to do the right thing but also the best thing for her and her son as they deserve it and she is still having to cope with a 47 year old man in a wheelchair on her own while she is elderly herself. She does have carers coming into the house 3 times a day but i believe she is entitled to keep the money she makes and not have to answer to different offices and agencies regarding her savings.
Any advice on going the best route would be appreciated
Thanks
Just thought I take a copy of the OP since mrjis has now started to change the story.0 -
Just for the record, people from other countries are NOT allowed to come here to get free houses and benefits. There are plenty of people in the UK unable to live with their spouse or family member because they do not have high enough incomes and/or a large enough house to convince the immigration authorities that there is no danger of them costing the tax-payer money.0

Lol. Might be be allowed but anyone with any sense knows it happens.
Funny how we always see eastern Europeans swagging about in designer clothed and going back to properties even though they don't work!
Get in the real world lol0 -

Get in the real world lolCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -
Yaaaawn! Boring goodbye lol0
