There is light at the end of the tunnel...or maybe that is light at the end of the list :rotfl:

Jobs to be completed by the end of today (a little bit ambitious maybe!)

Make phone call about course Done I guess, just need a chat with my boss later for some real answers
Cancel new gym membership PLEASE MAKE SURE I DO THIS! He hasn't changed his mind so doing this after lunch
Write and send Christmas cards Written, just waiting for a couple of addresses as some people have moved
Finish Christmas shopping Done, just waiting for one order to arrive and need to send a bouquet of flowers next week.
Make hair appointment Will do this on the way to the shops
    Ironing Done

I have about an hour until I need to leave for the gym so I am going to tackle the hair appointment and gym membership next. Quite nervous about cancelling the gym membership but don't know why as it is free until January anyway. I will do that first!

If I can finish my list today then I can do all the present wrapping tomorrow and I will be done :D

Last PT session is at 4 today. Didn't enjoy yesterday's as much as normal, it was really hard so hope the last one is better. Maybe it is because I know they are ending.

Off out to a Christmas do that my social group of friends are going to tonight. I only know the table of people I am sitting with so I hope it is a good laugh. It is not too far away so I may be able to disappear if it isn't my thing!

So far Christmas presents are under £200, not sure how much Mr AJM has spent but I have a feeling he will have paid for them from his own money. I am going to work out a budget for next year and put the money away. It hasn't left us short but this is the only thing we don't put away for during the year so I want to make things easier. Mr AJM doesn't always see the point to this so I will need to hide it from him and then surprise him next year when we go shopping and it is effectively all paid for![/QUOTE]

My last PT session was really hard but good yesterday. He has said if I have any questions to text him which I guess is good service. As one door closes another opens...as I was walking back to the changing room I got talking to 2 guys, one of them is a PT! I am going to try working out by myself for the next couple of months and then see if I need a kick up the butt!

Need to stop being lazy now and make a start to the day.

    Oooh AJM - behave :D

I'm a big cynic, I assume that anyone who talks to me in a gym is probably a PT touting for business :rotfl:

Got the ferry over the water to go and cancel my new gym membership, it turns out they can do it remotely so I didn't need to make the journey, it only cost £3.30 though and I am now back to one gym membership.

I'm going to see what else I can get done before lunch.

He doesn't work at the gym and was working out with someone else. From an MSE perspective something like that may be cheaper than paying the inflated price at the gym. I need to stick to my original plan and try to get to the end of January by myself before thinking about the possibility of more PT sessions. I have big plans for next year which will include my biggest challenge by a mile so I need to make sure I keep my body strong. I do follow someone on fb who is looking into setting up a closed page where he can advise some of us so I might be able to do it that way. Whatever I do I need to make sure I am not tied into anything past August.

I think my first money challenge for next year (once I get back to work) will be to leave my debit card out of my wallet and only carry cash around with me for the month. I have been trying to only spend cash but sometimes it is too easy to pay by card and I don't even have a contactless card yet! Hopefully it make me think twice about spending then. If I am going to be living nearer home later next year we will need to rethink our money situation again so I need to be far more aware of what I do with my own money in advance to plan for this.

It took about 2 hours but all my presents are wrapped, just need to find someone to write the tag for my secret santa present. Need to work out the best way to get all my presents to people. I might see what boxes I've got as it might be easier to post them so long as I mark everything as fragile!

At this rate I am going to have a fairly quiet weekend apart from my run on Sunday. I am hoping to have a sort through my cupboards to take home any stuff I am not using and create a bit more space. I am glad I started the list up as I wouldn't have got nearly as much done otherwise.

I am exhausted now and can't wait until 11pm when I get back from work and can go to bed.

My alarm woke me for the first time in ages this morning. I was out early to volunteer at my local parkrun and now back to enjoy my day.

I have just submitted my final total for MFiT-T3, I am £10k ish away from the target I set but I have taken to saving more and I didn't work out the challenge very well in the beginning so I was never going to make it anyway. I have just started a new spreadsheet for the next 3 years, I am hoping to reduce my mortgage to £80k but if I can exceed this I will be very happy.

My next job is to work out our time frame for being mortgage neutral although this is all based on my savings target as Mr AJM doesn't really put much away into savings...I am hoping to work on him while I am home over Christmas. I need to get to mortgage neutral by September 2022 at the latest but the earlier I manage this the better. My larger mortgage interest rate is now the same as the RS account I opened this week (the smaller mortgage is a lot lower). I would like to have a workable plan but I don't seem to have much success with this, probably because I am working towards the goals by myself.

I need to go and get some lunch at some point so might do that before I get stuck into spreadsheets and calculators.
