When to phone for PAC? (O2 Online)
Hello!
I've had an O2 online contract for the last two years - I'm planning on getting a PAC and porting the number to PAYG on another network at the end of the minimum period.
My contract runs out at the end of May - my first bill was on the 1st June 2005, and includes line rental for the 31st May and the 1st to 30th June.
When should I phone up to cancel (or rather, ask for a PAC)? I need to cancel before the May bill to avoid paying more than I need to, I probably need to give 30 days notice, and I don't want to cancel too early and pay for half a month when I don't get the free calls. Or do I need to write to them to get a PAC?

Im with Vodafone at the moment and changing to o2. My contract is ending on the 17th April. I phoned Vodafone on about the 9th March and they sent the PAC code out the 14th. It expires on 13th April. I've just emailed o2 with the details and they are changing my number over on 10th April (i thought it only took up to 5 days, so beware not to leave it too late)0

o2 allow you to contact them on the 11th month to order your pac code
ill most probably take you a while though as you will have to go through to their 'disconnections' team AKA 'retentions'. they will more than likley try to keep you as a customer.0
