Have been sold an item for an incredibly low price online... can they refuse to send?

Some you win and some you lose.
I thought it was generously priced. It may be the correct price. And as yet there's been no change in price on the website and I'm still on course to get it.0 -
It may be one you win then. There is (likely) no contractual entitlement until it is sent but good luck.Thinking critically since 1996....0

You sure it's not some sort of preorder price and you'll be required to pay the rest once the item is released/available?
If not, are you honestly going to sit here and tell us that you thought it was generously priced and not mispriced? I don't believe you. Theres a big difference between £80 and £5.99, while they'll be a markup on the product an item selling at that price will still cost a lot more than £5.99 for the retailer to buy and they won't sell it at a massive loss without good reason. Secondly your on here asking if they have to sell to you before they've even contacted you. This suggests your considering that the price may be incorrect. If you wish to take advantage of a mistake at least be honest about it.
I'm holier-than-thou? Not really, I've done plenty of things that aren't considered 'right' but I do get annoyed by people asking their rights when a company has made an error. By all means buy the item, you may well be successful but if they admit their error and refund you just accept it, don't go posting on a forum asking if you can force them to sell at that price.
Besides, if they did have to post it you'd just get businesses using alternative tactics to get out of sending the item.0
