Right ladies, I have got nowhere near a UU with this but I'm just out of the shower and reviewing it anyway: S&G Flake Away.

It's really scrubby...the first time I used it I nearly had a fit, but I've now come to like the salt scrub. However, it leaves some sort of moisturising film on your skin. It feels superficially moisturising, but literally goes only as deep as the surface.

I'm a bit confused. A scrub is supposed to scrub, not supposed to moisturise (badly), is it?

I hate the greasy feeling some scrubs leave (and the thick film on the bath/shower floor). I have told myself that when I have used the ones in stock, a half finished S&G and a Botanics Sugar Scrub, that I will make do with my scrubby gloves, it is only my lower legs which are a bit "bobbly" from shaving/epilating. Now I just have to resist any that might look tempting.

Have a good Friday everyone, off to hospital for my pre op checks (local PTC have shipped some cases over to the Nuffield, and I am one of them, so I am thinking/hoping that as they work to pretty tight schedules, there should not be too much waiting around.

  • Hi all!
    3UU this week....and no INs!! :j
Clinique happy summer spray 100ml WIBA? No, this is quite a nice fragrance, but too many perfumes to choose from these days.
S&G the breakfast scrub 300ml WIBA? I really like this, so perhaps in the sales.
TBS wild cherry body scrub 50ml WIBA? Sadly no, I could eat it coz it smells so good, but its not very scrubby.

Slowly getting through the older products in my stash.
Task tonight is to see what I can dig out the stash next!!

    I was weak

http://www.holtrenfrew.com/shop/en/holt/raise-your-glass-nail-lacquer-1910121872027000 it's darker than this, though

Oh, and a Dior nude lippie.

I had to make the most of the trip. Parking was evil!

Hope you enjoy using them, that's the main thing.

Have a uu - Dirty Works body butter - free sample tube, this is really nice to use and absorbs quickly but I'm still not keen on the smell.

Maddiemay - glad your mum is recovering.

Inapickle - Flake Away is like lard - I hated the greasiness of it and will never, ever use it again.

  • I hate the oil that comes with Flake Away too! I just don't feel clean after using it.

However, The Breakfast Scrub is perfect, no oil at all. I quite fancy trying Sugar Crush because of the zesty smell but I'm not sure whether it falls into the greasy/non-greasy category. Anyone have Sugar Crush scrub?
  • Hope today goes ok Maddiemay.

I've spoken to the training provider for my course and they've offered to pay for me to retake the exam in January (saving me £150 woot :j). I've also appealed to the exams board (which cost me £50 boo :() to get my paper remarked, I'm not hopeful but it's a shot as it's only 3% I'm missing out by. Either way it's back to studying for me.

    Another UU:
Triple Dry Quick dry stick deoderant - bought ages ago to see if it would help perspiration issues, it didn't and smells foul so WNBA.

    Another IN:
Johnson's Gentle Exfoliating Wash - freebie

Got a fairly busy weekend which is nice as it keeps my husband at arm's length. We're having our bedroom floor resanded at the end of next week so I also need to pack everything up and move furniture by Wednesday, not an easy job. Then the little one and me will be decamping for a few days due to the noise and dust. Phew.

:rotfl:lol that's a very good description of it!! I used it yesterday and reckon I only have a couple more uses from it, which is good as lasted forever!
I have no more UUs or INs, (no INS since the Body Shop grabbit bag in July :T) have lots of things spluttering and will be taking scissors to a hand cream and facial wash soon as well.

Got a nasty burn on the back of my hand yesterday from the oven, which is really nipping. I've been putting aloe vera gel on it.

  • maddiemay - That sounds incredibly difficult - I'm glad to hear she has recovered, and hope you are too.

Catriona_P That is a great outcome! Fingers crossed for the remark.
