Have had a very busy day getting through all the washing/ironing and putting away of clothes and toiletries from the holiday at last. I ended up throwing some things out:-

Leighton Denny cutilips exfoliator. Awful greasy stuff WNBA.
Clarins Hydra Quench Serum - WNBA - picked up from a CS.
Essie To Dry For top coat - love this and have another one in stash.

Am in a bit of a rut with perfumes really as I'm using old ones at the mo with the exception of my Marc Jacobs Daisy that I bought last time we were at the airport. Have Tommy Girl, Givency Very Irresistable and Boss Woman.

Have watched quite a bit of QVC Beauty Day whilst doing the mountain of ironing but have not been tempted to buy anything. Yay me.

Gonna go now. Want to repaint my nails ready for work tomorrow - think I'll wear No.7 Highland Mist and then we are having BBQ for tea.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

  • More IN.... At the risk of sounding extremely ungrateful, my Auntie called yesterday with a v belated birthday present (she is the same always and will catch up with herself one year, so funny) and in it was an S&G bag :eek::eek::eek::eek: I've been trying so hard to whittle my S&G stash away having seriously OD'd! So the following are IN:

    S & G Butter Up 200ml
    S & G Clean on Me 75ml (thankfully not the 500ml monster!)
    S & G Hair Supply 50ml
    S & G Flirtigo 250ml
    S & G Greatest Scrub of All 125ml
    S & G Flakeaway 50ml

Some are dupes of products I already have - All are things I've tried, Flakeaway I just fear to break my neck in the bath/shower using and find it a bit oily and really hard to wash off, albeit effective. I like Clean on Me (just not massive bottles of it which take forever to finish), Greatest Scrub of All and Butter Up. Flirtigo I'm very meh about and I hate Hair Supply but have a friend who raves about it and will v happily receive that. I hope I don't sound like a spoilt brat!! I am very grateful, honestly!

    Bought IN are:
L'Oreal Everpure Colour Protect & Volume Shampoo 250ml x 2 and the conditioner to match - 3 for 2 in Boots

I've finished L'Oreal Elvive Full Restore 5 60 Second Saviour - name is a bit of a mouthful but really nice product which left my hair very silky like an intensive conditioner but was light enough to use like a regular conditioner - WBA

I'm also going to count the Hair Supply now as a GA as I'll take it to work for my friend tomorrow.

In answer to SansPareil's question about favourite/signature perfumes, I love Chanel Mademoiselle and Chance, the favourite I have at the moment is Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb which I know is a bit of an acquired taste as its fairly heavy and sweet. I also love Dior Addict 2 which is much lighter and fresher. I was lucky enough to get a bottle of for my birthday this year - unfortunately the spray mechanism has somehow become detached but I'm able to use it by removing the top and dabbing it on instead - may last longer this way!
  • UU - L'Occitane Fleur Cherie Shower Gel - WBA as I love Neroli.

But I have a LOT of shower gels to use up first....

Not sure I'll ever get down to just having one mind you, I like having some different perfumed ones - like laying shower gel / lotion in a scent to complement my perfume of choice.

    I have 2 more UU

Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Spa Mask 1 - made skin lovely and smooth, but the fabric masks are awkward and don't fit properly.
Santaverde Aloe Vera Hydro Repair gel 5ml - used as a sort of facial aftersun, have another one after winning an extra Amarya box.

I will have some more ins next week, i have used birthday money to get the Lux limited addition box. Technically this will be a gifted in rather than a bought in. I will declare these as ins when they arrive.
  • well, first the good:

    UU:
Taaj micelliar water - wnba, did sting a bit if it got near my eyes
bare minerals mini foaming cleanser - WNBA, im a cream cleanser girl!
REN 3ml eye gel - wnba, this made no difference!
elemis full size body lotion - wba if part of a set. got full size in the stash!
Laura mercier oil free primer - TA, this was useless and ive had far too many days with it when id put it on, then put foundation on and it just flaked off my face and looked like i had awful peely skin so i had to start again. i've more then enough decent stuff in the stash to use so i'm not battling this anymore!
clarins hand cream - GA, this has been hanging around for yonks without me using it so i gave it to someone who would
17 lipgloss - GA, not my colour so no point keeping it!

then the bad :o we went to John Lewis. first my mum spied the Liz Earle limited edition c&p and said she would treat me to it. Then i *stumbled* across the Laura Mercier counter and right in front of me was the set i wanted from america for £50! i caved, then my mum caved and got one too. Then i saw another gorgeous black eyeshadow with purple glitter in it reduced £9.25 and that also went in the basket. so in:
    Eyeshadow single
    Eyeshadow duo x 2
    eyeshadow stick
    lip gloss
    mini mascara
    foundation primer
    travel eye brush
    3 pan compact.

  • To answer the fragrance question,

it is definitely a hard one as my mind changes all the time with my mood.
As of right now, my favourite day time perfume is:

Marc jacobs Rain or D&G Light Blue for day and
    Dior J'adore L'eau for night
