I've just registered for this challenge again. I'm really pleased at how much I've paid off over the last 3 years, I should have it down to £74,000 come December. If I can get down to £25,000 by 2015, I'll be delighted.Mortgage Free in 3-T2 : Started at £151,000 Nov. 2009 Mortgage Free Oct 1st 2015

Tilly - are you looking to pay off almost £200k in these 3 years, or is that your 6 year goal? Wowsers!November 2016: Mortgage = £185,0000

Thanks for this, it is the first time I feel I can join in, hoping to clear my whole mortgage in 3 years but it will be tough as I am now a SAHM living on my OH wage! Thought joining this challenge would give me more motivation so just sent in my registration. Can't wait till 12/12/12 to start now0

Hi, this is my first ever post on a forum. No idea if I am doing it right. In fact my ability to use anything IT related is very limited! I have been reading the site for a few weeks and its all vey inspirational but I was particularly struck by the hard work and dedication of financialbliss in supporting others on the quest to be mortgage free. I have been reading the current MFi3 challenge and he does such a great job even in the occassional face of adversity.
Anyway, if I can work out how to register for this challenge I would love to do so.0 -
Hi, FB - I'm back for the third MFiT challenge, please! I've been number 48 for the previous 2, so if you could hold that quest number for me it would save me remembering a new one. And this time, I'll hope for the BIG ONE of being mortgage-free, though that's a big target at the moment as I might take redundancy at the end of next year... I can confirm the start figure when we finish take 2, it's likely to be about £246k mortgage with £70k offset and £30k ISA savings, so net £146k. Eek.
Thanks, FB!Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0 -
After not achieving my goals in the last two challenges I'm hoping, nay belay that, going to make it third time lucky. Debts & weight have spiralled out of control but no more! Just call me Bob!
I hope I've registered properly but I daresay I'll find out soon enough if I haven't.
This time OH & I will combine this with a weight challenge - me more than him. I lost 30 kilos 3 years ago and have put 20 back on and, although I lost a bit too much before, I need to take at least 15 to feel comfortable again.
So,bring it on. We'll not wait till December but start with the weight now and the debts/mortgage when we come back from Tenerife in three weeks time. It's all paid for so we might as well go but we will be watching what we spend and not be too crazy!!Struggling too much wears a body out
