#50 here, just updated via Googledocs. Down to £10,413.80, which means next month I will be down to 4 digits - wow!
Not bad considering I am only 14 years into a 25-year mortgage.
Will be MF within the next 10 months if not sooner :j. Doubt I will make the MFiT end date though:(What goes around comes around.....I hope!0 -
Can't believe I'm been rather absent from here for quite a while and noticed my target was to increase savings from around £23k to £60k.
Have updated the Google Doc but have no idea how I've managed to buy TWO properties since this challenge started (actually, both purchased in the last 9 months) and seem to have £64500 equity and still have a little bit of savings. So well and truly beat my target...well chuffed!
Next target is to completely pay off the first property's mortgage within 5 years of buying it - so by Sept 2019. Here's to an interesting 5 years!0 -
OK so I've not heard back from my regular check in with FB, I've still been running a copy for myself to understand that I've put most of the updates in so if people want a chart to track progress I'll post up the link to mine.
Hope you're ok FB

comes in looking sheepish... I've done an awful job at remembering to post updates. I've just sent my update for chart 10. Thankfully I've been much more successful at remembering to overpay!
Our balance has just dropped into the £106k bracket. Our motivation for getting to this figure was to have a good LTV for remortgaging. We've achieved that (and will be completing on the new mortgage in the next few weeks). We're on target to finish the year ahead of target which is a nice little boostknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0
