  • Thank you one and all, I'm so excited. Every year the two free council tax months I add to my regular overpayment and this month cleared the balance. It can be done people dig in and good luck, the feeling is amazing and well worth working for xx
  • I have an exciting couple of days - I move out tomorrow, and move into my new home on Tuesday :-).

Tomorrow night I'll have two mortgages overnight (eek!), but then it'll be just me and my mortgage-free dreams and plans with my divorce finalised and the rest of my life to look forward to. I'm wondering if I can start overpaying tomorrow, before the move, as the lender advances the funds the day before completion - I could be ahead of the game!

Good to be back with you all, folks :-D

Exciting news on the board already then!! ;) Nothing exciting for me to report - no op's made yet this year, far too much going on to be honest, but I am hoping to make the first (scarily small!!:o) contribution to this years target at the end of this month  ;)

    Good luck everyone! :D

  • I didn't give an update for chart 8, but for some reason my balance got rolled back to what is was on chart 4, rather than being brought forward from chart 7.

Anyway, I've submitted my update for chart 9. It's taken me from green to yellow, but I'm not too worried as thanks to a re-mortgage last year I'm currently earning more money in the bank than I'm paying interest.

    Hi

No 20 just updated on form for March - balance is £100761 - should go sub £100k next month - very excited!!

Have been transfering accross any little amounts that have come my way this year & I am amazed at what a differnce it has made to my repayments - of course no council tax for 2 months has helped as well. Hopefully should be able to meet my tartget of £90k by the end of the year.

I don't post very often but do enjoy browsing through peoples diaries so thanks to you all for keeping me going.
