That looks lovely. Do we get the secret recipe? Pretty please :)

Five Beans Chilli the JJ way:

I just fried onions and garlic in oil with a teaspoon of chilli powder, ground cumin and ground coriander.

To this I added celery, peppers, lots of grated carrots, handful of red lentils, 3 tins of 5 Beans, a bit of beef stock and a dessertspoon of pure cocoa powder (my secret weapon: it adds depth of flavour and colours it a little more too. Some folk add dark chocolate but I dont like the sugar element)

Simmer away and serve with rice.

Lovely, You would never miss the mince at all

"Easy peasy, squeeze of lemon," as my sprog would say :rotfl:

    don't know who's still up..I am. I have had a bad night.
my OH has been admitted to hospital tonight, our local mental health unit. I feel totally lost. we have been struggling for a long time. he was in Iraq last year and was badly injured. he lost 2 of his friends in the same attack. he is okm but did suffer some bad injuries.

he has been struggling for a while and tonight he just lost it. and I couldn't cope any more. He was suicidal and I was, for the first time, really fearful I would lose him. So I called for some help and thankfully it was there. but now I feel really guilty because he's not here. Probably not the place to be posting this. But this thread has been a lifeline to me over the last few weeks and has given me a place to concentrate on something different

You are a wonderful, brave and incredibly caring partner. My heart goes out to you both.:(

so emotional. have just spoken to my love on the phone. he wants to come home, I want him to come home but we both know he has to stay where he is and be fixed. I am happy in a way because he is admitting what's causing him problems and hurting him. and we will be here when he gets back.
Have to say a massive thanks for the support tonight. Amazing! Thank you all

Stay strong, you will both come together very soon, much stronger and happier x

Can I just say that I know there has been some tricky arguments here this week, but the bottom line is, this is one hell of a community of cyber friends, no matter what time of day or night no one is ever alone in their struggle.

I found this in the comping community many years ago, many of whom I went on to meet and I can now call my bestest friends. The Internet really can be a wonderful place to meet such warm and genuine people, and I for one am very grateful to know such compassion exists here amongst strangers :A

ditto, it's my first Asda shop as not local to me and I've been a T glitch gal up til now. Quite upset about it as you get such a rush when you are there, then that wait to input the details, then no sleep as my mind was rushing!!!! Only to find out it still won't work this morning! What are we all like?!!:rotfl:
