That made me smile as on my ageing screen they look like your username!
PayPal and eBay both realised a while back that some sellers try to get out of a refund by pretending not to have seen the returned item, they changed their T&C to help cover this. There have been some posts on here where a buyer has ended up with the refund and the returned item had been refused by the seller and eventually made itself back to the buyer. Seller loses out both ways unless they want to pay again and can convince the buyer to resend it!!0 -
Paypal have only provided me with the address and no company or persons name, so is it acceptable to just use an address on the tracked return?0

Your previous posts suggest you have already received the refund - is this the case?
My return address is different to my business address. Its easier for me to collect from the Delivery Office near my home than the one that is miles away from my business address.0 -
Item has to be returned with a tracking service before a refund is made. I am being advised to return the item to the address on the sellers paypal account to avoid possible problems.
Just worried because I have not been given a company name for the tracking.0 -

Then if you want to put your mind at rest, check the address on the royal mail address/post code checker.0 -
Sounds like the business seller is in fact a Drop Ship user and is therefore getting you to return the item to his supplier. He will come unstuck if this is the case as most drop ship companies charge a re-stocking fee as B2B transactions don't come under the DSR's.
OP, the address doesn't happen to include Riddings, Derbyshire does it?0 -
Returned the item today recorded mail which was sent to the sellers paypal address. Seller informed me he is no longer at this address and paypal have responded stating:
"Thank you for providing the online tracking information for the item being
returned. The tracking information has been also sent to the seller. Once
delivery of the item is confirmed, a refund will be issued."
So there is a strong possibility that the delivery of the item will never be confirmed and I presume that if this is the case the paypal payment will never be refunded. Is this correct?0 -
As long as the parcel is signed for by whoever now lives there, or delivery is refused because person who lives there doesn't recognise the name on the parcel, then paypal will refund! It is the sellers fault for not updating his details. Nothing to worry about here. You are correct to send back to the sellers Paypal address.0
