I plan to go for CeMap 1, 2 & 3 because my broker (and many I have contacted) is rubbish. I find myself regularly correcting his mistakes and I am not prepared to pay for this poor service any longer.

I have had 4 or 5 mortgages this year and expect to have lots more. I also have a network of investors that require reliable mortgage advice.

Been in finance for 25 years, Management Accountant.

How long will it take from start to finish with the £10 study kits n Ebay?

You would need to register with the IFS, which is £130 x 3. This includes the fees for the CeMap 1, 2 and 3 exams, plus the two files of work for the courses.

You don't need anything else!

Be careful with the stuff on Ebay since a lot of it is out of date. Most of it is only past papers anyway.

I had the files for five weeks but did a five day course on CeMap 2 and 3 and passed both at week 5, with Merit. Have a couple more weeks then a five day course on CeMap 1 with the exam the week after.

Mind you, I am only working a few hours a week at the moment, so I have time on my hands to study.

Given your background you would probably be able to complete the lot in under six weeks, passed and finished!
