Never had any such thing on these forums.

I concur that it is something on your computer.

What browser are you using? Maybe try another and/or disable all addons?

    Firefox 15.0 (latest version).

But where exactly do the adverts lead you to ? Is there nothing on the popup box that appears that tells you who is running the advert service ? As I said yesterday, I am pretty convinced it's something on your PC, definitely not the forum. Do try the free version of http://www.superantispyware.com/ which is one of the anti-spyware tools I use at work.

At least one of the had " Easyinline" at the top and "GeoAds" at the bottom when hovered over and was for web developers.

Have run AVG9, nothing found, am running Malwarebytes at the moment, it is taking some time, 3 hours at time of this post, with nothing found

Will download and run Superantispyware when Malware has finished.

OP gives some indication as to the adverts when hovered over, I have not clicked on any.

When previewing this reply the words in my text, download and web developers had changed to red double underlined and when hovered over had the following:-

download: - "easy inline", "win an iphone"

web developers:- "easyinline", monGenie.com", "web developers".

When previewed again they had gone back to black and no underline.

Computer is running very slow at the moment, these "adverts" do not appear all the time and chop and change, even refreshing a page they are on, the next time I can see one I will take a screen shot with the mouse hovering and show it in a post.

Easyinline one of many 'services' provided by Yontoo. It won't be found by your antivirus software as you will have given Yontoo permission to run in the past. You won't have realised you have done this but when you downloaded some unrelated software recently a checkbox will have asked if you also wanted to install Yontoo. It is easy to remove but the process will vary slightly depending on your operating system.

The process for Windows XP is to click on the 'start' button, select 'Control Panel', 'Add or Remove Programs'. Let it load up, look for Yontoo and remove. Easyinline may also appear as a separate service, you will need to remove this too.

I did not purposely download Yontoo, but I have found it in programmes as you suggested, I have removed it, so hopefully this "problem" will now be gone, is it a malicious programme?, i.e. could it cause problems?

Easyinline was not on my computer according to add/remove programmes, thanks for your assistance.

Malawarebytes ran for 5 hours and 18 minutes and detected nothing, as did AVG9 as I mentioned above

I don't doubt that for a second. The same thing happened to me. It seems to have found its way into many legitimate installers, much like the Ask Jeeves toolbar which constantly seems to be delivered with other software. It isn't especially malicious, just a little annoying and very sneaky at finding it's way onto computers by piggy backing on other software downloads.

Nothing illegal about it however and as you have found it is easy to remove once you realise it is there. Glad you got rid of it.
