OP, if the magazine was a 'free' mag, it may be financed by selling advertising to adult companies. Or if it was a pirated non-free magazine, once you walk off the main streets of the internet into the back alleys where premium content is stolen you quite quickly find the very large, parallel internet with mucky websites etc.

This has happened to me twice this weekend. The first time I was onthe Ticketmaster website and clicked on tickets for Eddie Izzard when a "naked housewives" website popped up. I really wouldn't throw my ipad away because I love it too much, but I'm really curious to know why this has started happening?

I've had my iPad around 2 years now and the only time dodgy sites have come up on it has been when I've been looking at them.

It will almost certainly be the 'free magazine' site (or the OP doth protest too much - garnering tales of ipads gone bad to relate back to the missus.....)

I'd like to up the ipad disposal ante BTW - if you send it to me, I will drown it in holy water and says prayers for it's immortal soul. Don't forget to send the charger, so I can pray over that too. And the warranty.

OP can you post the name of the magazine and which site you used to sign up? Maybe someone can advise for sure, but it really could be one of many things

No doubt you would complain if the iPad were to stop you accessing web sites that Apple thought were unsuitable - such as Samsung and Creative. Or maybe Apple may just take a dislike MSE - as iPad problems have been highlighted here. Again freedom of choice.

It didn't open a !!!!!! site by itself. As an owner of a web browser you have to take responsibility for your actions using the browser. No one else can or should do it for you.

me too , i think the odd !!!!!! site would be a punishment but owning a ipad would more then make up for it
