Free texts for Orange ??
I picked up an answerphone message on my Orange networked Nokia phone yesterday - apparently if I text 07781 486562 with the word 'free' I will get 100 free texts credited.
Does anyone know if this is kosher ?
Thanks
Rob

maybe call orange from your handset and ask them. If it is, then please let me know about it!0

Magsys online lookup for the number given is as follows:
Code: 077 814
Type: Mobile
Use: Mobile Cable & Wireless Guernsey
Operator: Cable & Wireless Guernsey
Tariff Band: Mobile and PCN 30/20/10p (f) (inc VAT)
Service: Mobile
It seems unlikely that Orange UK would choose to employ a Guernsey mobile/PCN number to promote free texts, but stranger things have happened. I don't think I'd choose to employ an actively-used sim with much paid credit or on contract to check this out unless Orange give it their blessing.0 -
wow... impressive, i never knew that you can check someone's mobile details via the internet. not even i worked in a phone shop b4! well just as if you wanted cheap text, have you noticed that O2 does a offer that by topping up £10 a month you will get 300 text message? the tarriff is called 'talkalotwithtextmessage' link here: http://shop.o2.co.uk/shop/choosetariffs
and they are giving 10% cashback on top-ups. see the other thread: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=410960 -
oh by the way, this is a genuine O2 offer, as you can see that is a real O2 link! :P0
