I received the following e-mail from GenieTexter
GenieTexter has been bought out by Google Corporation.
Henry, Darren and myself are very excited to announce that GenieTexter has been bought up by the Google Corporation.
Marcy Delgado, Head of Corporate Affairs at Googles Headquarters in California said "We really liked what you guys at GenieTexter are doing with your free SMS application, we have big plans for the future of the GenieTexter brand, and hope you guys will stick around and work with us to make it the best SMS application on the planet"
GenieTexter fans need not worry though, as GenieTexter is still going to remain free, though the name will be changing to GoogleTexter. And In line with their 1 Gigabyte GMail offering, we are going to be giving every user an extra 100 free international SMS per day.
Heres a link to the official Google Press Release:

We would like to thank all the GenieTexter users for their continued support and hope you stick around because we have got some great things planned for the future of this cool application.
Cheers,
Henry, Darren and Steeev
