The getonlineathome computers are P4 2GHz processor, 1Gb RAM, 40Gb hard drive, is this really enough for Windows 7 as they come come with Windows 7 installed?
I presume if someone wanted to, they could just add extra RAM but will Windows not take up a large chunk of the 40Gb haard drive?0 -
Go to ebay and get used core 2 duo laptop. They are around £100. And they are best to be T7XXX

Certainly not something on which I would spend my hard earned.0 -
see this one refurbished IBM thinkpad, tough as old boots and will do the job.0

Thinkpad - seconded!
Typing on an ancient and trusty one now, it refuses to die. Several parts replaced over time, all spare parts easily found at pocket money prices.
Only catch is the screen is not very bright any more so not so earsy to use next to a window.
PS the spec of theabove linky is way better than mine and it is sooo cheap.
Reaching for my credit card already!0 -
ThinkPad T-series are always worth a look....I'm just sorry I don't currently have one, I miss mine like mad
