This isn't a job you'll be able to tell future employers if you do decide to eventually leave. A vague telephone customer service answer won't do. You'll be expected to give more info than that, and you'll be expected to give the name of the employer. And what kind of reference will your employer give? Lol. Oh um she's managed to talk guys and girls to come within x minutes. Pahahahahaha!
No different than a prostitute to be honest. No one will respect you. You'll end up having a career gap on your CV, and if you do put this job down on your CV nobody in the right mind will employ you.0 -
There was a programme on TV showing a few phone sex ladies a while back.
One of them was painting her kitchen at the time - and she used the emulsion to add sound effects to the call - she didn't tell him she was dipping her brush in the paint, though.
I did feel sorry for the clients - paying all that money have a mental image created that was FAR from the truth!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Yeah, that was one of the more disturbing things I've seen on telly in recent years...0 -
One of my mates used to supervise on calls like this to make sure the "customer services" people didn't get anything dodgy or illegal. She used to quite like telling people she worked in the sex industry!Data protection is there for you, not for companies to hide behind0

I was joking (that's what that smiley means) but honestly I've worked in legitimate phone customer service and never been asked for that much info in conversation because people assume it's boring (which it is). I was answering a question about what to say in "so what's your job conversations" not interviews.0 -

I'm only (not really) considering it as a second means of income, so they'd be no gap to worry about. Many, bar a few jobs opportunities coming my way are part time. So really this seems like a good way of earning some extra cash to put in my self employment kitty.
Yeah I hear you on the prostitution thing but *shrugs* I really don't care because there's just nothing out there and time's ticking along.:cool:0 -

Good on her.
Physical real life sex with strangers for money never floats my boat but even before now, I've never boaked at the idea of earning money via phone sex. That was a few years ago when it was just a fanciful idea, but now with the current climate it may be a possible means.0 -
It's funny how prudish people can be. For the last four months the company I work for has been trying to recruit 2 people, on a 'work from home part time' basis to basically take about 50 documents a week that are adult themed, and put them into simple email templates. They are decent payers and everything is logged and done via eLance, but you just can't find people that want to do it because the content is a bit adult.
