I didn't want to hijack the OP's thread (good jobs that don't require any qualifications?), so here's mine

I suggested that the OP tries phone sex chat. Now whilst this was said with tongue firmly in cheek, it did get me thinking about it as a viable way to up my income and here's why:

1. It's tough out there when it comes to full time work. It seems highly likely that I'll end up in part time employment.

2. It's from the comfort of your own home and you can choose your own hours.

3. I recently left a telemarketing role due to the abuse/stress from strangers but I was very good at my job and left as one of the highest strikers. So this would be a doddle because the calls inbound and you're providing a service.

4. The earning potential is well above minimum wage.

5. There are no immediate start jobs out there except phone charity fundraising which, as far as I'm concerned, is like going from the frying pan into the fire.

Conclusion: I'd rather be asked to [Removed] complete strangers from the comfort of my home on the phone for a decent wage, than be told to fkuc off by strangers in a pokey office for minimum wage.

What say you?

I doubt I'll ever follow through but is it such a bad way to earn money given the current economic climate?

I'm off to interview this afternoon (not for a phone sex role!) so I'm logging off to prepare, so don't think me rude for not replying. I'll be back later on.

    Enjoy your day.

You don't talk about illegal activities.
  • There's already a thread about this, isn't there? Can anyone remember any key words for the OP to search on? (Serious question - I'm NOT expecting a list of rude words!)
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

:eek:Whhaat!? Only 4 replies? I thought this one would have legs.

Anyway I had a good interview today so I'll be at the edge of my seat waiting for the phone to ring for a more wholesome job.

As a man I personally can't appreciate why people call such lines. I'm even more shocked if people out there genuinely see it as an opportunity to excite themselves by discussing illegal sexual acts.

Only people I'd imagine who call them would be curious 13 year old boys running up their parent's phone bill, and maybe your average "Sun" reader/chav who later gets their phone cut off due to not paying the bill.

If only it was like the good old days when people used modems on PCs, and to make money all you had to do was distribute a virus that silently rang your premium rate number - which rarely, if ever, got detected as people were so ignorant about viruses back then.
Wanted a job, now have one.

I can: loneliness, addiction, fear of long term commitment, boredom, fear of contracting a sexually transmitted disease. Oh there's a market for it. I've been told that there's a rise in women callers too.

As for illegal sex acts, well, you're meant to terminate the call if and when that happens.

Sad you didn't get the job - but at least you're positive of a different opportunity ;)
Data protection is there for you, not for companies to hide behind

Sorry but i love this quote here!!! LOL!!!

My view? You're doing no harm & unless you're stupid enough to give out personal details, you're at no risk. You're also not doing anything illegal, so while it's paying, get that money.

Ok it may be a bit awkward when you're having those "so what's your job" conversations & you may have to make up a story, but so what.

It's not the most glamorous of jobs, but you have to do what you have to do.
