I'm in the same situation. I gather the tickets are sent in a separate email from the confirmation, in PDF format. If I don't get mine soon (next 24 hrs) I will ring them.

I am in the same situation - seeing the basketball tomorrow morning and my print at home tickets still haven't arrived. I phoned the olympic ticket phone number, and they said to just turn up at the arena ticket office with email confirmation and photo id (driving licence or passport) and they'd issue them there.

Hopefully everything will turn out ok!
  • Yes hopefully that should be ok, although I don't fancy queueing at the Olympic stadium...

Incidentally, does anyone know if the central London ticket collection office can be used for tickets for all venues?
  • Hope all goes well tomorrow - enjoy. Let us know how you got on xx
  • Yes, I hope everyone has a great time. I'm really looking forward to it!
  • I've got into the page this morning but its not much different to the confirmation e-mail.
  • My email with the PDF tickets arrived this morning, so it was about 38 hours after the confirmation email.

    Update on my post yesterday.....

The print at home tickets email was received at 6am today. I printed the tickets off (successfully). Also took a copy of that webpage saying that you could travel for free.

I had no trouble in getting through the barriers - just waved the email confirmation, and they let us through. On arrival at Greenwich Arena, I went to the ticket collection booth (to collect our travelcards) - no queues at all! Also, no queues for the security or the ticket checkpoint.

I asked where we could fill up our water bottles, and they said any food/drink stand - again, no queues. Waited to get access to the seating area (which opened 45mins before the game started) and we were in. We could sit wherever we wanted. I thought we'd end up with seats at the top, but we could have sat in the front row (we decided on a few rows back).

    We had a great day!

A couple of tips.... the Javelin train is lovely and gives quick access to Olympic Park. We thought it may be quicker to take it, and then get a jubilee line train 3 stops to Greenwich - we were wrong!! Whilst it takes you close to Olympic Park, it is like a 10-15 minute walk to the jubilee line from the Javelin station (you have to walk through the whole of Westfield, then over a bridge and down the other side). If travelling to Greenwich from Kings Cross, I recommend you take the northern line southbound and then change to the jubilee line. The arena is literally 2 minutes from the station.

If watching basketball, blocks 110,111 and 112 will give you a view from the side, although most seats give a good view anyway.

    Have fun!

Pinkzebra, glad you had such a great time!

The lady at my local tube station confirmed to me tonight that I could just wave my etickets and get through the barriers. She said 'don't worry about getting out at Stratford, the staff are just shovelling people through!!' so I guess the barriers are just open!

Watching the swimming tonight in preparation for the big day on Sunday. These athletes are amazing. Can't believe that some of them get out of wheelchairs to then swim a race! What an inspiration.
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!
  • I've got tickets for athletics 7pm Monday night. Does anyone know if we can go up earlier in the afternoon to look round the park? The websites that I have read are a bit confusing saying that you should aim to arrive 2 1/2hrs before and that the Stadium open 2hrs before your session time but can you enter the park earlier?
