  • BDINI – How lovely is your dad.:A I know it’s easy for me to say, but use the money the way he intended it because you are not going to lose your job. :) You’ve done nothing wrong. Sending you a big (((hug))). You’ll get through this and come out smiling on the other side :A

Thanks freeby, i know you are right, but i just needed to hear it!! I shall pay the credit card as soon as the bill arrives!!

Not a NSD as I have bought a jacket and boots & chocolate may have fallen into my basket too :rotfl:
I had ordered a jacket last week as M & S did not have my size.
Anyway got a different one from a M & S outlet today which was cheaper & got my boots there too so got that jacket & the boots for the price of the first jacket IYSWIM?
Well I know what I mean :rotfl:

Well done Beanie, with a saving like that, it sounds like you deserved the chocolate that *ahem* fell into your basket!! :rotfl:

Well i have remembered what the upside of being stressed is.... i want to clean & tidy like a mad woman!!
So today has been a very productive day of decluttering & i now have 3 bags for the charity shop, 4 bags of clothes to be collected by one of those places that pays for them, 6 bits of furniture to be collected by freecyclers (it amazes me how many random spots i can shove unnecessary furniture in!), & pretty much everything i want to keep out of the spare room & into a proper home.
Oh & a huge pan of chicken, courgette & tomato soup to go in the freezer in portions & a peanut butter, marshmallow & fudge traybake to work my way through!

Really chuffed the spare room is done, as after chatting to my friend on friday night it seems her relationship problems are much worse than i realised & she asked if she could move in with me for a bit when she finds the courage to leave, so now i can get a door that closes put on & sort out the damp before she gets here.

Also had a play around with the snowball calculator & (providing i don't lose my job, ok Freeby, slap me for thinking that), with the rent she would give me i could pay my other 2 credit cards off in a year :j There is light at the end of the tunnel!!

Anyway before i bore you all to death, the upshot of such a busy day is that i never spent a penny, so managed number9 & one over target :j

I'm sorry, I didn't read the front page closely enough! I didn't realise the F word was a swear word!
pickle = 3/15 is better than 0,1 or 2 out of 15, every success here is celebrated, it takes practise to get into the swing of things.

Thanks...you're very kind. I don't feel like it's a success, but I made my lunch for tomorrow this evening so I'm off to a good start this month! :)
AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH! SHE SAID THE F WORD!!!!!!!

Freeby, what is this month's punishment for those who say the F word? Something disgusting I hope!

(We do not "fail" on here. We might not quite get our target number of NSDs but every NSD is a winner.)

Thanks everyone, i know it will be you guys that keep me sane throughout this!!
I just hate the worrying, i'm still convinced he is going to find some way to turn this round so i end up getting sacked, i have to stay realistic & realise that's why i have a union to make sure that doesn't happen.

My dad had given me enough money to pay off one of my credit cards as a thank you for helping him move house (bless him, i didn't want a thing, i helped him cos he's my dad & i love him!), but now i'm too scared to actually use it for this, i keep thinking i should save it to live on when i lose my job, & i hate that he's done this to me

Anyhow, enough of me moaning on, not one today as had to get a few groceries (& a bottle of red as a treat :)), but i'm determined tomorrow will be, as i'm not planning on leaving the house at all!!

Now now, BDINI, we'll have none of that talk here :naughty: You're not going to lose your job, your idiot boss will be lucky if he keeps his after what he's done to you.

    Sending you a big (((hug))).

What a lovely dad you have, mind you, he's got a lovely daughter as well :A

    Hi all

I got my salary to find in it a unexpected bonus from work down last year and a raise. I've be able to pay off my Barclaycard with the bonus and close the card:T and bought rail tickets for my weekend away. It's brilliant knowing that I won't have to use my credit card for my weekend away.:j

When I rang to close my Barclaycard they had a technical problem and they said the would ring me back which they did. I was happy it was on their phone bill:money:. I had a bit of a job convincing them that I wanted to close the card but eventually they accepted that I knew my own mind and closed the card.

This has brought my Debtfree day forward by 2 months it will be March 2014 if I keep going as I am.

    DFF

Woohooooo... fantastic news DFF, well done you :j:j:j

Ladies and gentlemen, I must admit to failing dismally this month. I was so bad at not making my own lunch that I wouldn't even admit it if I didn't know that not owning up to it in public would not help me to get better for next month.

I only managed 3/15 NS lunchdays.

    :(:o

*Slinks back out of thread vowing to do better next month*
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I'm feeling faint, I've just seen the dreaded "f" word.... :rotfl:

Pickle, there is nothing to be ashamed of in getting 3 NSDs, it's a heck of a lot better than none.

There are some great ideas for lunches on the front pages, they might inspire you a bit.

    Good luck for October x
