Evening all, just wanted to announce the arrival of NSD number 8 in Chateau Nargle.

The total would have been higher but I had to get a few shopping bits today. And Friday was so busy I just had to stop at the chippy on the way home and get a portion of chips, which I proceeded to demolish with loads of sodium chloride. I did offer them to the resident gannets but DS wasn't hungry, and OH was being very good and just had a few of them with a bit of ketchup.

Number 9 should be in the bag by tomorrow night, all being well.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Sorry to hear about your car citizenkitten, some people just have no respect. Supermarkets are a nightmare, someone bashed my mums car with a trolley. And recently i saw a lady hit a car as she drove into a space, she decided she couldn't fit (even though she clearly could have done, but was obviously incapable of parking) and drove away, so i took her reg number and as it happened the owner was only minutes away so i was able to give her the reg number and she found the car and the driver in a different part of the car park. :j:j People are so rude they should just own up.
    .

Wow, sounds exactly like what happened to me a while back, except the driver had done a bunk and despite the fact my insurance company and I (via the RAC vehicle check website) could find the make/model of the car that hit me etc etc, the police were unable to and therefore couldn't trace the owner :mad:

Still haven't got my bumper resprayed so the dirt is currently hiding the detail.

  • Claiming NSD no. 6 and no. 7 !
  • NSD#10 for me yesterday! That means I've hit my target. :D

I've done the NSD Challenge before, but not for a couple of years. I found this has really helped keep my spending in my mind. In the past, I didn't think twice about doing an "oh I'll just pop to Tesco quickly", but now I've been stopping myself, asking if I really need it, and 9/10 I don't!
I shall continue with them this month and see how many I can get in total for September. It's possible today might be one as well!
Because it's fun to have money!

That's my hated task no 2, marmite, the first is ironing....

Hope you managed to find an [STRIKE]excuse [/STRIKE]valid reason for not doing it :)

Well today is going to be NSD no 14 for me as I am definitely not going to spend anything.

Hope you all have a good Sunday
:) The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time :)
  • Checking in with my total lack of NSDs to add to my previous 2....
This has proven to be a rather rubbish month for spending, what with a massively disorganised shopping month (I'm trying for a new tactic, but keep forgetting to buy stuff on the big trips!), daughter's birthday, daughter starting year 10 and needing copious quantities of school stuff for new GCSE course; this dictionary, that book, this file, that folder etc etc etc etc etc.
I will, of course, keep trying, but I'm rather grateful I only challnged myself to 7 this month as I suspect this is all I'm going to manage!

solventsoon, my hated task no 1 is ironing. I hate it so much I don't bother with it. As far as I'm concerned, life is too short to iron :p

All being well today should be number 6 for me. An expensive day yesterday, I had my home coloured hair properly done at the hairdressers, it started off at £90  to which I said in a loud voice "How much!!" got it down to £70, which is still way over what I would normally pay, but I have a job interview this week and I couldn't go along looking like the poor relation in my bad hair colour and untidy outgrown style, so I am hoping it is a good investment :o
:) Been here for a long time and don't often post
