  • I'm gonna count today as my 2nd NSD as we're staying in for the rest of the day. Hubby bought me lunch today so that I stayed on track!

It's been pretty easy this weekend, but probably couldn't have done it if I hadn't have meal planned and shopped beforehand. Got a few things I need to pay for this week, such as dry cleaning and a wedding gift contribution for someone at work, but shouldn't be too tragic!

    Have a good week all.

  • Haven't managed a NSD day yet. Yesterday I only spent on bus fare to get to my BFs though, and today I went shopping with my SIL and ended up buying lemonade-though it was @sda's own rather than my favourite!

Kids are bathed and ready for bed early seeing they got so filthy lol so cant even go to the shop even I wanted :)
  • So ...... new plan is unbudgeted things only - as this is where I really fall down with impulse buys here & there :o. So, if it comes out the dog, cat, car etc budget, it's already been put aside and isn't a spend.

    Told you!:o

Went to the market looking for a cover for the new car (going to turn it into a mini estate so Maisie can have a "boot" as she hates being on the back seat - rarely have anyone in there so should work OK).

Got one - and really chuffed as it's the right size and only £12 ..... out the car budget & needed so not a spend ....... but *sigh* ..... there was a handbag stand with some gorgeous handbags :o

It was only £6.99 (and is lovely;)) but these are the impulse spends I'm talking about!

It's come out of the coin pots (which is meant for the odd treat / needed thing - have been on a crochet course & bought a printer already this year and really like having it for things like that:)).

Not quite sure if I'm going to declare today as No 2 as the bag's been paid for from put aside money but these are the spends I need to cut down on (although most of them do end up going on the cc which is what I really need to stop!) - will decide shortly!:o

  • Hi all,
Late entry for me this month after a few months off. However, it's all over now - wedding was Friday and I can officially stop spending now.
I also go back to work tomorrow which usually helps.
Please can I try for 12 nsds this month? I will report in daily as I'm desperate to get back on the bandwagon. No nsd so far.

Well I did think today would be NSD number 1 of the month as I did my main weekly shopping yesterday, A$da have reduced their Douwe Egberts coffee to £4 a jar, which is a saving from £6.58 I had been paying, I was going to stock up yesterday, but the shelves were empty, so I went back today and bought 5 jars. Now this is ok for my budget as I also use a staff discount card because son works there, each jar came in at £3.60, as much as this is budgeted for I did spend today. I will do better and hope to get a few in for teh rest of the week.
:) Been here for a long time and don't often post
