My dog has two squirts of Kronch pure salmon oil on his food everyday because he suffers from SLO, but it is also very good for his coat, plus he loves it.
Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time

Not sure how much it is as I am allergic but you can by coconut oil (food grade) in most supermarkets these days usually in the with the ethnic stuff. The amount of people who have suggested it to me for dry hair and psoriasis is huge, cant see it doing her any harm. Amazon might be worth a shot too, just make sure its food grade.

Years ago a friend of my mothers used to put liquid paraffin on her dogs ( long hair GSD ) and they always had very glossy coats but I think it was originally to keep one of them regular!

coconut oil is very moisturising -great for your skin and hair (but remember to but shampoo on your hair before water when washing it out!)

Never used it with a dog though. You can buy it quite cheaply on the ethnic aisle in supermarkets or in ethnic shops.

My hair loves coconut oil ... but Lulu will try to lick it off if I don't watch her! :rotfl: I conditioner-wash it out, works better than shampoo and is much gentler IMO.

tbh blocks of coconut oil doesn't really smell of anything. They certainly don't smell of coconut scented shampoo and shower gel.
