How weird is that! My oldest one hates anything saucy, apart from gravy. He won't eat a cottage pie, beans, bolognese. Anything like that :rotfl:
yep its really annoying isn't it ... ive tried and tried
I used to have to dry his tinned peas with kitchen towel and stuff but now I don't
its the pizza that I don't get its not even sauce but hes convinced it is ...

You have to lay the law down now, before they get any older.
Have you tried them on cauliflower cheese, with snippets of bacon? Mine used to love that.
I used to hide veggies in things like bolognaise, just blended them with a stick blender, mashed potato with parsnips is lovely.
Make a minestrone or vegetable soup and blend it down, lots of veggies in that.
We all have things that we don't like so bribery is a good way .
Say if they try such and such then you will reward them with an ice pop (Not many calories in them)
Get the older one involved in the kitchen and let them help you to "cook" this way you can say to them ooh lets eat what you made for dinner tonight..........Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hi all x
Would it be ok if I join in with the thread? Money is a bit tight here at the moment and I'm sure I can cut some of money on our food budget and still eat well.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Welcome funfair princess. Of course you can join the thread - it's open to everyone.
You might like to join in the Grocery Challenge on the Old Style Board. Lots of really good and cheap recipes on there.

Can anyone suggest interesting things to do with cabbage that children might eat? We got a lovely big one for 80p. I'd like to use them more often because they're so cheap and healthy, but I run out of ideas v quickly. (We've already done boiled with butter twice.)
(I'm trying to incorporate more leafy green veg into our diets because we've been told that DD1 needs a bit more fibre in her diet, so ideas need to appeal to kiddies.)Mortgage when started: £330,995
